Sold Out
Highlighting lush, layered flavors, bright acidity and impeccably balanced French oak, Migration is dedicated to crafting wines from the finest cool-climate winegrowing regions. Planted in 2003, and farmed by the Dierberg family, Drum Canyon Vineyard is located on the eastern edge of the famed Sta. Rita Hills winegrowing region, where cool, coastal breezes help to produce a beautifully structured Pinot Noir, with velvety tannins and pure notes of pomegranate, dark cherry and clove.

Winemaker Notes
Shaped by cooling winds off the Pacific and a near-perfect growing season, this is a deep and luxurious expression of Drum Canyon Vineyard Pinot Noir. Dramatic aromas of blueberry, boysenberry, and black cherry rise from the glass hinting at this wine’s depth. On the palate the dark berry flavors are framed by impeccably balanced acidity and hints of toasty oak and sweet vanilla.
Production
The 2017 growing season in Santa Barbara County was peaceful and perfect, with ideal early-season rains, nice warm weather throughout late spring and summer, regular cooling fog and no major heat events—all of which are optimum for growing world-class Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. We hand-harvested our grapes in Santa Rita Hills and Santa Maria Valley over the course of ten days, with small clusters and berries yielding wines with an abundance of bright fruit and great intensity.
